Foreword from Alison Clarke

"On behalf of the University, I’m delighted to be leading this innovative programme of work which underpins and enables the University’s ambitious Research Vision. I am very excited to announce a number of new opportunities which are now available to internal and external candidates who want to be involved in the delivery and implementation of this work over a three-year period."– Alison Clarke, Director of Digital Research

We are currently looking to appoint a number of role to support the delivery of a new Digital Research Programme. The roles will be instrumental in the successful delivery of projects which fall into four programme work strands: 1. Manage & Streamline, 2. Explore & Engage, 3. Open & Reproduce and 4. Digital Capability, Culture & Change.

Our vision is to create a digital research environment with enhanced and digitally enabled discovery at every aspect of the research lifecycle to empower our researchers to discover new Data, Insights and People.

To achieve our vision, we will invest in people, process improvement and tools to optimise the experience of researchers and to improve efficiency.

We will focus on enhancing digital skills and also provide access to expertise to help researchers navigate digital opportunities and make the greatest impact on their research. This approach underpins the University’s Research vision which aims to achieve ambitious targets through investment in both people and digital capabilities.
