Estates Office Leadership Opportunities

The Estates and Facilities Department provides strategic and operational services to support the University infrastructure, buildings and landholdings. The Directorate is pivotal in both developing the strategic direction of the estate but also the continual provision of facilities for the university to deliver its operations.

We are looking for an exceptional leader with experience of operating at a senior strategic level in estates and facilities operations in a large scale, complex organisation, who can deliver a culture of high performance, collaboration and continuous improvement.

About the role

In this role you will lead and have overall management accountability for all teams responsible for the University estate and facilities, including domestic services; security; maintenance services; grounds (including sports grounds); transport and logistics; the farm; engineering and building services teams, as well as teams responsible for the co-ordination of waste collection and recycling activities.

You will work closely with the Director of Estates and Facilities to develop and deliver strategic plans in support of the University’s overall strategy and to improve performance of all operational services teams across estates and facilities, ensuring that Individuals have the support they need and the capabilities to deliver. 

Through engagement, collaboration and partnership with academic and professional services colleagues across the University you will ensure compliance with health, safety and welfare pertaining to the estate and its operation.
