Data Fest 2023, hosted by the Researcher Academy in collaboration with the UK Data Service, is a programme of activity which will give you the chance to boost your data skills, knowledge and networks; whether you are just getting started or are interested in broadening your existing capabilities.
It is not suitable for those without a current project or for APM staff.
Data Management Plans (DMPs) are a key component in responsibly managing your research data and are becoming increasingly expected in funder grant applications. This practical course guides you through the process of writing a plan, providing tailored guidance to participants.
You will learn about the sections that make up a DMP and the type of information that should be included in these.
At each stage of the process, you will learn about a section and then have the opportunity to apply this to your own project and write the data management plan, one section at a time.
You will have ample opportunity to ask questions and receive personalised advice throughout.
This course will be open to PGRS, ECRs or any researcher new to research data management. Specifically, for those who have a new project that needs a data management plan. It is not suitable for those without a current project or for APM staff.
