Preparing for upcoming assessments? Libraries are here to help you study well and achieve your goals with extended opening hours, revision resources, bookable study space and more.
Study at a time that works for you
From Monday 12 January, three libraries will be open 24-hours to help you study at a time that works for you. Whatever campus you are studying on there will be a 24-hour library nearby – George Green Library (University Park), Djanogly LRC (Jubilee Campus) and James Cameron-Gifford Library (Sutton Bonington). All other libraries will be open term time hours.
Don’t forget to bring your University Card or MyNottingham app for access at peak times.
Revision support and free study planners
Did you know Libraries offer FREE study planners to help you plan your time. Download a planner online or pick up a printed planner sheet from our libraries.
Libraries’ friendly Learning Development team are here to help you find the study techniques that work for you. Explore their assessment guidance at your own pace or request a one-to-one. Why not check out our team’s useful revision tips too?
Our weekly online study sessions return on 14 January. Drop in to the study session on Teams between 11am and 1pm for up to two hours of focused study time alongside other students. We'll use the pomodoro technique to structure the session and provide plenty of time for breaks.
Take a break
It’s really important to take regular breaks when you’re studying. Pop by our library games zones, help out with the shared puzzle, leave a positive message for other students on our boards or just take a break with a friend.
January can be a lot - exams, assignments, pressure, and long days on campus. If you’re around, pop by the Wellbeing Team's Self-Care Stall in George Green Library from 12 - 2pm on Tuesday 13 January for a small pause in your day.
- Pick up an exam self-care bag
- Have a chat with the Wellbeing team
- Grab some freebies (tea, bookmarks & more)
- Take a moment with colouring cards and wellbeing resources
