Study Group: Modelling and Analytics for a Sustainable Society

This event will bring together researchers, from the water, energy, food and social sciences domains, with modellers and data analysts to tackle research questions posed by the domain experts, following a similar format widely used for industrial and biological applications over many years.

Domain experts have been invited to propose a question amenable to modelling and data analytics approaches, to be tackled by the mathematical and computational scientists at the study group. Problems will be from any area of sustainability research. All ‘problems’ will receive two days of intense input from the assembled group. Problems tackled at other study groups have resulted in publications and successful grant proposals.
