Title: Orbifolds of topological quantum field theories

Abstract: I will review the functorial approach to topological quantum field theories with defects, a generalised orbifold construction, and discuss several applications. While the theory can be formulated in arbitrary dimension, key ideas can be illustrated in two dimensions, where Landau-Ginzburg models provide interesting examples. In three dimensions, Turaev-Viro-Barrett-Westbury models can be understood as special cases of orbifolds, and in general Reshetikhin-Turaev theories close under orbifolds.

1 hour talk, followed by informal discussion.

All are welcome!
