The Undergraduate Research Expo will take place on Wednesday 17 October 2-5pm in the Maths Atrium. The event will showcase the work from our latest summer bursary students.
Every year some of our best undergraduate students have the opportunity to engage in summer projects funded by various bursary schemes (including external sources such as LMS, Wellcome, EPSRC, BBSRC and internal sources such as the Dr M. Jackson Trust and School funding). This gives motivated students an excellent opportunity to be involved first-hand in academic activities, and a good portion of these students later apply for PhDs with us or elsewhere. This event will feature a poster session presented by over 20 undergraduate maths students and/or students involved in projects supervised by maths staff in the past few weeks. Refreshments (tea & cakes) will be provided by the School.
