Academic affiliated with Institute for Quantum Computing, University of Waterloo

Dr Jorma Louko has become an Affiliate of the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo. The five-year appointment will strengthen the research links between Nottingham and Waterloo in the area of relativistic quantum information.

The University of Waterloo is one of the leading Canadian research universities. The Institute for Quantum Computing, with its projected growth to 30 faculty members, is a world-leader in quantum information research. The close co-operation between the Institute for Quantum Computing and the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, also located in Waterloo, makes Waterloo home to one of the world's largest quantum information science research communities.
