Student testimonials

I genuinely believe that the MSc Mental Health: Research and Practice was the best Masters to have completed. I always wanted to work in mental health, be it clinically or within research, and I’m now lucky enough to be doing both. The skills I learned throughout the degree were invaluable, and I think the way the course integrates both clinical and research elements of mental health is fantastic. The fact the course also covers the whole lifespan is great and gives the opportunity to think about any area you would like to specialise in within your career. The MSc gave me a better sense of direction for my career path and improved my confidence regarding my mental health career. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone wanting to work in mental health, or indeed those who already are but wish to expand their knowledge.

The MSc taught me so much about how to conduct research and about different psychological models which I could easily apply to real world settings, such as how to formulate mental health difficulties. The opportunity to do a placement as part of my research project and work with a clinical population provided invaluable experience when applying for jobs.
