Global Revolution Conference Virtual Event

Date(s)
Tuesday 22nd June 2021 (09:00-17:00)
Description

As we postponed the next "on site" Global Revolution conference, Public Procurement: Global Revolution X, to 2022 due to the uncertainty over the Coronavirus pandemic, so we also ran a free-of-charge, virtual “Global Revolution Special” on 22 June 2021 for those who could not wait until 2022 for their Global Revolution “fix”!

The on-line event, hosted on the electronic platform of our sponsor for the event, Trowers & Hamlins, was as successful as our physical events and brought together almost 800 participants over 4 sessions during the course of the day. The event brought together, as always, the world's leading academics for a dialogue with national regulators and procurement practitioners, and representatives from national and international institutions such as the Cabinet Office, OECD, the WTO, UNCITRAL, the World Bank and other multilateral development banks

The morning sessions were concerned with the very topical issue of the UK’s Green Paper on procurement reform. We were honoured to have a number of speakers from the Cabinet Office who have been closely involved with the reform proposals. That was followed by a session which covered a specific area of the Green Paper, namely the impact of Covid-19 Pandemic. The afternoon sessions brought us a roundup of international events by key speakers from the relevant organisations as well as a distinguished panel of speakers discussing the lessons learned from the pandemic.

Recordings of these sessions are available on our Videos page.
