PRIMIS is pleased to announce that it has released an upgrade to CHART.

This version of CHART (immediately available to all Hub members) includes new functionality and improvements to both usability and display.

A significant improvement is that there is now only ONE version of CHART which works with any clinical IT system and on any version of Microsoft Excel from 2007 onwards1. No more worrying if you have selected the correct version of the CHART installer file, as 'one size now fits all'.

Other changes in this release include:

  • a mini-makeover of the CHART home page. Users will see new layouts and descriptions that provide clearer navigation and easier selection on the home screen
  • all topics are now selected by default when you open an audit tool (previously each topic had to be selected one by one)
  • a ‘reset CHART’ button now refreshes CHART after you have installed a new audit tool. Users no longer need to close down and then reopen CHART to enable the new audit
  • exporting data to a new workbook and switching between workbooks have both been simplified to a single click
  • minor bug fixes

Full details of all functionality within this version of CHART will be available in a new version of the CHART instruction booklet. This booklet is now available on the CHART webpage and in the PRIMIS HUB CHART section.
