PRIMIS’ quality improvement tools have been used during the RCGP’s pilot programme on the delivery of evidence-based quality improvement for diabetes in primary care.
Patient data gathered in practice using PRIMIS tools were evaluated as part of the pilot. Practices involved appreciated how PRIMIS tools enabled them to analyze their data in real time.
The pilot programme was commissioned by NHS Digital and carried out by the RCGP’s Clinical Innovation and Research Centre (CIRC).The report on the Programme was issued in late September this year and can be found on the RCGP’s website.

Our tools are additionally suggested (in both the report and online) by the RCGP as useful tools for CCGs, locality clinical leads and practices to gather data to monitor quality.
