Thank you to all our delegates and speakers who contributed to making the event on 12th May an informative and lively day!

Around 150 delegates attended 'SNOMED CT and the future of primary care data and information' which proved to be an informative event, representing national NHS organisations, CCGs and CSUs, practice staff, industry and the academic research community.

We were particularly proud that we were able to reach such a high number of people working in primary care who were interested in understanding the impact of SNOMED CT on their practices and CCGs.

Delegates' comments on their favourite aspects of the event:

  • "John Parry simply because he made it very clear that system suppliers are also having concerns about this issue."
  • "Today's workshop was well designed and very informative."
  • "David Markwell had a very clear overview that set the tone of the day."
  • "Dr Paul Maddy - the most relevant to where SNOMED CT may be going."
  • "Dr Kambiz Boomla, beacuse he demonstrated how changes can be made using data to have a positive impact on patient care."
  • "Great mix of presentations and all presentations were of a very high quality."
  • "Dr Dai Evans' presentation explained how SNOMED CT codes are used (possibly) in a real situation and it gave me a little more understanding of the implications of roll-out"
  • "Dr David Stables - the unexpective view of where we might be going!"
  • "Denise Downs' presentation was most useful as it is applicable directly to my current work."
  • "Dr Sarah Thew's presentation showed great innovation and an exciting project. I can't wait for the progress report!"
