Calling all Vision practices! We need your help with our validation exercises for high profile NHS data collection activities - and you'll receive a £150 thank you

We are looking for Vision practices within England to help validate the 2017/18 ‘flu, Meningitis B and Hexavalent vaccine surveys.

As a thank you for your help, PRIMIS is able to offer your practice £150.

This project will check the accuracy of clinical system data that has been uploaded for a group of vaccination surveys including ‘flu, Meningitis B and the Hexavalent vaccine by comparing the data to a similar set extracted via MIQUEST direct from participating practices.

This validation is looking at implementation of the survey specification by the GP clinical systems – the project is not looking at practice performance.

Requirements

Practices:

  • should be CHART users and have a MIQUEST interpreter activated and working at their practice
  • need to commit to both audit extractions: 'flu and Meningitis B in November 2017 and ‘flu and Hexavalent vaccine in February 2018 (approximate, dates to be arranged)
  • will be paid following the final audit in March/April 2018
  • who have previously taken part in PRIMIS validation exercises or testing are encouraged to apply
  • should be comfortable in using the Away From My Desk system (or that your CCG is happy for it to be used – we can explain this if you have no previous experience of using it)

What is involved?

You need to do very little! PRIMIS will perform the data extractions safely and securely using the Away From My Desk Software, without needing to visit your practice. The extraction will run MIQUEST searches on your system and upload the aggregated results to PRIMIS. (Please see more information on remote data extractions and how we care about your data).

Practices will need to respond in a timely manner to PRIMIS in order to arrange extractions and will need to sign a data collection agreement and an Away From My Desk agreement.

How to take part

Are you interested? Please email information.team@primis.nottingham.ac.uk stating all of the following:

  • your name
  • email address
  • your practice role
  • practice national code
  • clinical system type
  • practice name and address
  • direct dial number (to arrange remote extractions only)

What next?

If your practice profile matches our requirements we will contact you with further details on how to take part in this project.

Thank you,

The PRIMIS team
