Nisar joined the Centre for Additive Manufacturing group in 2023 as a postdoctoral researcher working on morphing magnetic materials by additive manufacturing for robotics and defense applications. Previously he had completed a PhD on 4D printing magnetostrictive materials for structural health monitoring and repair of carbon fibre composites at the University of Sheffield in 2023. He completed his BEng in Design with Engineering Materials at Loughborough Univeristy in 2019.
