On 27 February 2018, Dr Qianlan Wu was invited to be a member of the UK delegation to attend the joint seminar between the Great Britain China Center (GBCC) and the State Council Legislative Affairs Office (SCLAO) of the People's Republic of China on "Legal Frameworks for Foreign Investment: UK and Chinese Perspectives" in Beijing China.
The UK delegation was headed by Professor Sir Jeffrey Jowell QC at Blackstone Chambers and formerly the Founder-Director of the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law. Dr Wu delivered a presentation on the public interests test and foreign investment regulation: UK and EU perspectives at the seminar and answered questions raised by policy makers.
