Life Imprisonment Worldwide project represented at conferences in UK and Germany

This week the Life Imprisonment Worldwide (LIW) project has been represented at two conferences. The first, a one day seminar in London on ‘The Cultural Lives of Death in Punishment’, was attended by Research Associate, Georgie Benford.

The second, a meeting of the Justice Cooperation Network on the European treatment and transition management of high risk offenders, in Düne was attended by Senior Research Fellow, Catherine Appleton.  Both events have offered an opportunity to promote the Life Imprisonment Worldwide project and to engage in stimulating debate about issues related to life-sentenced prisoners.
