The Life Imprisonment Worldwide project have hosted a workshop at the Onati Institute for the Sociology of Law. Twenty four delegates joined The University of Nottingham team, Dirk van Zyl Smit, Catherine Appleton and Georgie Benford, to discuss issues of life imprisonment and human rights. The delegates who are all leading experts in their own field travelled to Onati, Spain from across Europe and the world to contribute to this important discussion.
