Industry Consortium funds study of good conversation

 1st April 2025

Hearing Sciences – Scottish Section has won a competitive grant from the Hearing Industry Research Consortium for a project entitled ‘A context-dependent approach to measuring hearing-aid benefit in real-life conversations’. This two-year project will develop a prototype self-report outcome measure that will make it possible to assess hearing-aid benefit in real life situations, specifically sensitive to the multi-faceted nature of face-to-face communication success and to the ways in which different facets become important, depending on the conversational context.
