Description

Ben Bedwell - Wandering The Workhouse

Wander The Workhouse was an agile internal project funded by Horizon as part of the Media Flagship to generate impact from Horizon research. In this talk I’ll show how Horizon researchers worked with National Trust staff to rapidly prototype, produce and deploy an interactive visitor experience for The Workhouse at Southwell. The finished article brought together Artcodes, Wander Anywhere and NFC to transform the engagement of visitors with the site - indoors and outdoors - and cater for visitors with or without mobile devices. I’ll also describe the impact of the deployment on The Workhouse, revealing the opportunities and threats for the site and the wider organisation that the project has brought to the surface.

Obrien Sim - Consumer attitudes towards smart packaging

I will be giving a short talk on the preliminary findings (as the study is currently ongoing) of my focus group study that looks at how consumers perceive the potential applications of smart packaging. I will talk about some of the concerns and issues that have been brought up based on what I've transcribed in addition to certain features where participants found value in using.
