This week we will hear one talk from Joe Marshall.
I'll talk about our work on the swing based artwork VR playground, with a particular focus on how data captured during the experience is central to the running of the experience and the development of new experiences. What is interesting here is how everyone involved in the development and deployment of this work is engaging with experience data in relatively mundane ways. I argue that data captured from experiences has gone from being something that researchers gathered, or something that 'data-artists' with a particular focus on technology used, to being just a pervasive and mundane aspect of practice in this kind of work.
