Marc Boothe, Creative Producer at B3 Media, and Divya Ghelani from TalentLab, will give a guest talk to the lab.
The Strike at the Imperial Typewriters project and exhibition will record and share the heritage of the strike at the Imperial Typewriter factory in 1974, which saw approximately 500 Asian workers protest their lack of opportunities at a time of industrial decline and key technological change.The project will be presented at Newarke Houses Museum over 6 months as a fixed exhibition (May – October 2019), an online space, and a journey across the historical streets of Leicester.
