Robots in Special Education: reasons for low uptake and co-design of new systems

The use of robots in Special Education schools has been proven beneficial for children attending those, producing an increase in engagement and goal achievement. However, the use of robots rarely continues after the relevant study ends. In this talk I will take you through the reasons why this may happen and discuss the current status of my PhD on the topic.
