Trustworthy Autonomous Systems

UKRI has released a call for a research programme on Trustworthy Autonomous Systems. In this talk, I will try to provoke YOU on this complex topic, and get your thoughts on it too. How can we usefully understand what an autonomous system is (and thereby what’s in scope and out of scope of the research programme), and what might it mean for an autonomous system to be trustworthy? Expect some “hand-raising” questions whether YOU trust…, and (here’s hoping) that we will end with some preliminary revelations how to move forward.
