Membership

The Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre is a group of breast cancer researchers, clinicians and non-academic staff within the University of Nottingham, working in harmony with Nottingham University Hospital staff. Our aim is to be as inclusive as possible.

Management Committee 

The management committee is made up of six full members plus an Associate member representative and the NBCRC Administrator. The majority of committee members are also subgroup leads. The committee meets bi-monthly to discuss:

  • Ongoing research
  • Patient & Public Involvement
  • Raising awareness (local and national)
  • Marketing and communications strategy 
  • Research awareness and open days 
  • Fundraising opportunities and allocations 
  • Future initiatives

Who can become a member?

Full Membership

Any active breast cancer researcher from the University of Nottingham or Nottingham University Hospitals with the following eligibility:

  • Minimum of three breast cancer specific research papers in the last three years (as first or senior author) 
  • And/or a PI on a breast cancer specific research grant in the last five years. 

Associate Membership

Open to all postdocs, technicians and PhD students working within a breast cancer research environment/project.

Affiliate Membership

Open to any clinician, nurse or researcher working with the University of Nottingham or Nottingham University Hospitals with an interest in breast cancer research.
