Developing an adaptive response to sexual and serious violent crime reporting in Nottingham funding secured by Dr Larissa Sandy

Dr Larissa Sandy has been awarded a 12-month British Academy Innovation Fellowship for a project titled: Developing an adaptive response to sexual and serious violent crime reporting in Nottingham.

Larissa's fellowship is in partnership with POW Nottingham, a local charity working with sex workers. The fellowship project was co-designed with POW Nottingham and will develop sex worker-centred and trauma informed reporting tools for serious violent crime reporting by sex workers in Nottingham. The project aims to improve reporting options and relationships with the police as sex workers face inconsistent and discriminatory experiences accessing justice and this has resulted in very low reporting rates. The project is part of local efforts to address the barriers workers face in accessing justice and increasing worker safety.
