Language Centre Module Enrolment: Spring semester 2019

Description
Students can diversify their degree course by choosing a language module for credits. At the Language Centre we focus on providing language modules with the emphasis on communication. The modules are supported by the virtual learning environment Moodle, digital classrooms and a Self Access Centre for independent learning.We offer 10 credit modules in Arabic, French, German, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Slovene and Spanish. The levels range from Stage 1a (complete beginners) to Stage 6 (near native speaker competence). It is possible to improve existing skills or start a new language.

Professor Reiner Grundmann has published a paper in Geoscience on Ozone and climate governance: An implausible path dependence

Professor Grundmann's paper compares the cases of ozone layer protection and climate change. This is based on talk he gave last year at a conference in Paris to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Montreal Protocol.

EPRSC funded project Defense Against the Dark Artefacts had its kick off meeting at Cambridge Computer Labs

Over the next two years the project EPRSC funded project Defence Against the Dark Artefacts will be studying means of identifying devices running in home which have been compromised by malware, and how the social context of the home should inform appropriate responses.
