I am a historian of social, cultural and political change in modern Britain, with particular research interests in the history of sexuality, gender and religious change. I completed my PhD at the University of Nottingham in 2015. My thesis examined Church of England attitudes towards issues of sexuality in the years between 1918 and 1980.

Teaching Summary

I am a seminar tutor on the first year core modules 'Learning History' and 'Roads to Modernity, an introduction to modern history, 1789-1945'.

I am a seminar tutor and lecturer on the second year core module 'The Contemporary World Since 1945', where I deliver lectures on 'Sexual Politics in the Contemporary World'.

I also teach on 'Religion in Twentieth-Century Britain' and the MA module 'Memory and Social Change in Modern Europe and Beyond'.
