Main areas of research - History
- The Department of History has around 35 full-time members of academic staff, all of whom are active researchers and whose research closely informs their teaching.
- The 2014 Research Excellence Framework evaluated 98 percent of the Department’s submitted research publications as worthy of international recognition in terms of originality, significance and rigour. Remarkably, one third of these were assessed as world-leading.
