We have a vibrant and active research culture with more than 35 members of academic staff, of whom nearly all are internationally recognised scholars in their respective fields of activity.
The department is involved in many joint research projects with international partners and with public organisations.
The 2021 Research Excellence Framework rated more than 80% of our outputs and 100% of both Impact and Environment as either world leading or internationally excellent.
