Research systems biology in the Nottingham BBSRC DTP

Systems Biology focusses on the study of systems of biological components, including molecules, cells, organisms or entire species. Researchers create methods for integrating data into models that will include mathematical, statistical and computational modelling, visualisation tools and network inference. These models aim to capture complex biological behaviour in order to enable predictions about biological processes, pathways and interactions, in the form of mathematical or computational models. Research within this field includes integration of experimental biology with modelling approaches.
