Management Project (Business Analysis Project)

Module Content:
Management Project as a Business Analysis Project requires the student to undertake research in a topic relevant to business or management. Course members enrolled on a specific MBA variant must undertake a Management Project related to their named variant. The specific topic is subject to an approval process.

Students may choose to undertake their Business Analysis Project in one of three forms:

Business Plan, Company Based Project and Case Study Research.

The Business Plan is expected to be the development of a business idea of model.

The Company Based Project may take a number of forms and will be linked to a specific company / organisation.

The Case Study Research requires the student to undertake independent case study research on one or more organisations that demonstrate learning from practices, strategies or behaviours.

Module Aims:
To enable part-time and executive MBA students to: demonstrate their understanding of and ability to use concepts, techniques and methods of analysis through independent research; to significantly develop their business and management skills; to enable students to develop an integrated view of their learning across their programme of study via the analysis of key management or business problem (relevant to their chose MBA specialisation where appropriate).

Module Assessment:
Individual Analysis Project (15000 words) (70%); Presentation (20 minutes plus Q & A) (30%)
