Leadership for Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability

Module Content:
This module introduces students to the key leadership competencies and practices for managing a social responsible, environmentally friendly, inclusive and ethical business. These competencies and learning materials have been developed in partnership with Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS). As a result of completing this module students will be able to: demonstrate the skills, critical thinking, and application of tools expected on leaders in the field of corporate responsibility and sustainability. Successful completion of this module should enable students to satisfy entry criteria for ICSR accreditation.
Individual coursework will build upon discussions in both online and seminar environments in the form of a reflective learning journal.
Online participation (50%) requires students to submit six assessed e-tivities over the course of those available on the module (That may include interactions with peers in the online environment). This portfolio of e-tivities would be graded as one individual coursework mark based on student achievement of module learning outcomes. Individual coursework (50%) will build upon discussions in both online and seminar environments in the form of a reflective learning journal. (Note: Alternative individual e-tivities would be made available in exception cases).

Module Aims:
To enable students to take a more comprehensive and critical perspective of business and its relationship with social and environmental stakeholders. This module builds on current issues to develop effective solutions for tomorrow's global business. Positioned around decisions facing individual business leaders this course presents a number of on-going challenges for resolution and develops critical reflection in future leaders.

Individual Reflective Learning Journal (2500 words) (50%); Online Participation (50%)
