Strategic Human Resource Management

Module Content:
The module aims to develop an advanced understanding of human resource management. Core elements of the course include recruitment and selection, training, performance management, job design, work-life balance and health and safety.

Module Aims:
To illustrate the relationship between HRM issues and organisational context; to show how HR decisions relate to organisational strategies.

Module Assessment:
Group Presentation (20 mins including Q&A) (15%); Unseen Assessment (Individual Assignement, class based) (35%); Individual Coursework (2,500 words) (50%)
