Research in the School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies
The School's six research departments: American and Canadian Studies, Culture, Film and Media, French and Francophone Studies, German Studies, Russian and Slavonic Studies, and Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies are among the top research units in the country, both for the quality of our research and because our departments are large and therefore significant centres of study for each area. While most of our research is undertaken in our own specialist areas, we have a number of School-wide initiatives, such as Research Centres, Research Groups and Journals which bring members of different departments together in a collaborative process.
