DH Lawrence Festival 2014 Launches

Join the School of English in celebrating at the 11th annual DH Lawrence festival from the 5th - 25th September

The 2014 Festival programme is packed with events celebrating both the life and work of D.H. Lawrence and the rich heritage and culture of this part of Nottinghamshire where he was born and raised, and which so influenced his work. Download a copy of the Festival Wall Planner.

Notable activities including staff and students from the School include:

  • Thursday 18th September: Live Twitter Discussion with Dr Andrew Harrison & PhD student Annalise Grice. 7-8pm #DHLawrence @DHLHeritage
  • Wednesday 24th September: Lecture: 'Lawrence and Drama', by Dr Jim Moran. 7pm Nottingham Playhouse.
  • Thursday 25th September: Rehearsed Reading of 'The Widowing of Mrs Holroyd', followed by discussion from playwright Billy Ivory, Stephen Lowe, and Dr Jim Moran. 7.30pm, Djanogly Theatre, Lakeside Arts Centre.
