Representations of leadership in medically themed fiction

My research is multidisciplinary through the exploring of literature through business and medical lenses. In particular, I am focused on the representation of leadership in medically themed fiction. I am particularly interested in the the portrayal of doctors and nurses during mid twentieth century. I hope to explore the potential of business theories, tool and techniques as alternative approaches to literary analysis. Primary texts for analysis include The Citadel by A. J. Cronin, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey and Suddenly, Last Summer by Tennessee Williams.
