The School is home to a range of peer-reviewed journals and creative writing anthologies that are produced and edited by or with our staff and students. It is our aim to produce high quality research articles and showcase a range of critical and creative writing by established and emergent scholars and writers from around the world.

The Letters Page

The Letters Page is a literary journal in letters, published by the School of English at the University of Nottingham and edited by Jon McGregor. We publish essays, stories, poetry, memoir, travelogue, and criticism; but all in the form of letters. We are interested in the literary traditions of letter-writing, and in the idea of correspondence in a digital age. We would love to hear from you.

Nottingham Medieval Studies

Nottingham Medieval Studies is one of the leading interdisciplinary journals for European history and literature from Late Antiquity through to the Reformation. A postgraduate-run, online journal committed to providing an open-access platform for exploring how communication and language shape and are shaped by wider society. The journal welcomes content that engages with the following interdisciplinary research themes: literary interventions; translating cultures; performance con/texts; texts in professional and educational contexts; innovative methods to investigate language and texts.

Nottingham Linguistic Circular
Nottingham Linguistic Circular

The Nottingham Linguistic Circular was published by the School of English Studies from November 1971 until volume 14 in 1985. It was relaunched in October 2000 with volume 15 appearing in both paper and electronic form. NLC is now completely online and free to readers annually.
