Once a battery bin is full and requires emptying, there are two options depending on the size of the bin:

  • Option 1: 5 litre countertop bins

Please raise a ticket with the Estates Helpdesk to request the Mailroom porters to come and empty and replace the bin for you. Please provide the location of the bin.

  • Option 2: 40kg, for example four x full 5 litre bins, 60 or 120 litre containers

Email the Estates Helpdesk for BatteryBack (a subsidiary of WasteCare Ltd) to come and empty the bin free of charge. Please provide the location of the bin.

Please contact estateshelpdesk@nottingham.ac.uk

Please note: large automotive or industrial batteries should be treated as hazardous waste.
