NottFAR concert series

The Nottingham Forum for Artistic Research (NottFAR) is a concert and event series curated by Dr Elizabeth Kelly.

The forum features performances and composers from the staff at the University of Nottingham, alongside acclaimed guests from around the UK and abroad.

  • Simon Paterson Portrait Concerts (bass), Djanogly Recital Hall
  • Shawn Mativetsky (tabla) and Xenia Pestova (keyboards), Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham
  • Re-composing the city: New scores for silent films, afternoon of talks and screenings
  • Composers, including Peter Hill and Ed Bennett, discussing their music
  • David Trippett, University of Cambridge: "An uncrossable Rubicon: Liszt's Sardanapale revisited” and Andrew McPherson, Queen Mary University of London discussing his work with music technology and composition.
