The School of Politics and International Relations is pleased to report that Professor Paul Heywood's testimony to the International Development Committee (IDC) has formed a mainstay of their report on tackling corruption overseas. The IDC, a select committee of the House of Commons chaired by Stephen Twigg MP, published its much-awaited report on overseas corruption yesterday.
In 2015, Professor Heywood was appointed leader of a £3.6m British Academy/DFID Anti-Corruption Evidence programme, designed to identify new initiatives that can help developing countries tackle the scourge of corruption and the negative impact it has on millions of people's lives.
The IDC report makes extensive use of the written and oral evidence Professor Heywood provided to the Committee. View the report here.
