Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies
As one of the oldest departments of Russian and Slavonic Studies in the UK we explore and teach the languages, cultures and histories of Russia, the former Soviet Union as well as South-Eastern Europe.
The Department is internationally recognized as a leading centre for Russian and Central and South-Eastern European studies in the UK. 60% of the department's research has recently been rated 'world leading' or 'internationally excellent'.
