Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies

We are one of the largest departments of Russian and Slavonic Studies in the UK, internationally recognized for the excellence of our research and research-led teaching in the cultures and histories of Russia, the former Soviet Union and South-Eastern Europe.

The Department is renowned as a leading centre for Russian and Central and South-Eastern European studies in the UK. 60% of our research has recently been rated 'world leading' or 'internationally excellent'. We are in the top four in the UK for ‘Research Power’.

We offer an exciting and varied undergraduate programme of study with a wide choice of modules in Russian and Slavonic literature, culture and history and Slavonic languages.

The Malcolm Warwick Year Abroad Scholarships - Russian and Slavonic Studies

Description
The family of 1956 alumnus Malcolm Warwick, who achieved a 1st class honours degree in Russian and Slavonic Studies and who died in January 2010, have carried out his wish to create an endowment fund for year abroad scholarships.
