The Institute invites members of the local business community to engage with students in mentoring roles. This activity benefits us by ensuring that our teaching is relevant and grounded and our mentors benefit from some excellent networking opportunities.
Live consultancy projects
We recognise that the teaching of entrepreneurial theory can only go so far which is why we expose our masters students to the commercial environment through project work carried out for businesses in the local community.
A programme that aims to match the needs of young entrepreneurs with successful local businesses that have the appropriate skills or experience to add real value to the student’s early stage business idea.
We often invite inspiring business leaders to come along to talk to our students. We encourage sessions to be interactive so that students get the most from the visit.
