Student Enterprise
If you're a student at Nottingham and have an enterprising mind-set you're definitely in good company. Named as the first Entepreneurial University of the Year by The Times Higher Education in 2008, the university, through the UNIEI, supports a number of extra-curricular initiatives including the EnterpriseLab and the Student Venture Challenge business plan competition.
The university is also fortunate to host a number of active societies run by students themselves. These include Nottingham Entrepreneurs, an SU affiliated society and the Students In Free Enterprise team.
The EnterpriseLab can help students and graduates who are interested in setting up their own business.
Student Venture Challenge is a business plan competition open to all Nottingham University students.
The Biotechnology Young Entrepreneurs Scheme is a business plan competition aimed at bioscience postgrad and postdoctoral researchers.
