Dr Andrew Wild

Andrew is dedicated to understanding strategy over the long term, with a particular interest in the study of change at an organisational and institutional level. His research has been published in a range of leading journals, including Journal of Management Studies (AJG 4, FT50), Human Relations (AJG 4, FT50), British Journal of Management (AJG 4), and 5 papers in Business History (AJG 4). Recent research has involved a focus on strategies that support the circular economy, including enhancing circular business models, funded by the EPSRC.

Andrew has undertaken a number of administrative roles, including Head of Group and Head of Department (Strategy & International Business).

Andrew has also been engaged in the practice community, advising on both corporate turnaround and strategic management to organisations including FTSE 250 listed, private multi-national, public sector, charitable, and SMEs.

A recipient of multiple teaching awards, Andrew currently lectures on UG, MSc and Exec MBA programmes. He was awarded a Faculty Commendation for his teaching in 2023.

Andrew holds a PhD from the University of Nottingham, MA in Corporate Strategy & Governance, and BA(Hons) in Industrial Economics, also from the University of Nottingham. He has also been awarded Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts.
