Jane Nolan is an Associate Professor in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour. She has previously held posts at the Universities of Aberystwyth and Leicester and was a Nuffield Foundation New Career Fellow in the Department of Sociology at the University of Cambridge and a Senior Research Fellow at Magdalene College, Cambridge. She has published widely in the area of international human resource management, with a regional focus on China. She also has long-standing research interests in gender, work and organization. She is on the editorial board of the Asia Pacific Business Review and the Chinese Journal of Human Resource Management and was previously on the editorial board of Work, Employment and Society. Her research has been funded by the ESRC and the Nuffield Foundation.
