Lee is a lecturer and researcher in the area of Business and Society. He has a PhD from the University of Manchester in sustainable supply chain management and has published in this area in journals such as Journal of Supply Chain Management (JSCM), Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, and Organization. Lee's main area of research is in Sustainable Supply Chain Management with a focus on environmental sustainability and environmental justice.

Ongoing projects include: Biodiversity and Business Ethics; Environmental Justice and Ethical Sourcing; Climate change strategies in corporate supply chains.
