Luciana has a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick and a Master in Economics and Utilities Regulations from the Universitat of Barcelona. Prior to joining The University of Nottingham, she worked at the Economics Department of the University of Warwick and at Alliance Manchester Business School, and held a visiting position at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. She has also worked as consultant for electricity and natural gas distribution companies, the Interamerican Development Bank and the United Nations Development Programme for the Economic Authority of Cordoba (Argentina).

Her research focuses on the informational content of consumer-generated information, like complaints and reviews, and the firms' strategic incentives to affect the quality and quantity of that information. She is also interested in the potential use of the information generated by the consumers as a policy and regulatory tool in contexts in which the agency is less informed than the consumers. Recently, she has also been working on firm's strategic behaviour in the litigation and settlement contexts, where strategic inefficiency can potentially improve the firm's bargaining power.

Luciana's teaching experience so far has been closely related to her research interests. She has taught Microeconomics and Game Theory at Graduate and Undergraduate levels, to Business and Economic students.

Areas of Expertise
Game Theory, Applied Microeconomics, Information Economics, Competition Policy and Regulation
