Teresa Heath is an Associate Professor with Agregacao in marketing at the University of Minho. She received her PhD from the University of Nottingham. Her research focuses on consumption and its intersection with ethics, sustainability and education. She has advocated for critical and transformative approaches to marketing in her research and teaching, with the aim of contributing to marketing theories and practices that are mindful of the well-being of people and the planet. To that end, she has investigated the role of care in everyday consumption and employed an ethics of care to further understanding of ethical consumption and marketing. Her work has been published widely, including in the Journal of Business Ethics, the Journal of Business Research, Marketing Theory, the European Journal of Marketing and Management Learning. She is a member of the Education Committee of the Academy of Marketing and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
