Dr Samuel Johnson Ogundipe is an Assistant Professor in Marketing at Nottingham University Business School. He completed his PhD in Business and Management at the University of Nottingham. His dissertation explored the role of boundary objects as representational artefacts in making sense of complex problems and establishing collective mind among diverse teams in business-to-business networks. Before his doctoral degree, Sam worked as a project researcher at the University of Vaasa (Finland). He investigated different approaches and practices enabling manufacturing organizations to transition successfully into solution selling and service-driven business models.
Sam was previously a lecturer in Marketing at Nottingham Trent University, where he taught several modules, including Strategic Marketing, Enterprise and Employment, Research for Marketing, and Contemporary Issues in Strategic Market Management. In addition to his teaching engagements, Sam also acted as a personal course tutor and academic mentor for undergraduate students, and he supervised MBA and executive MBA research projects.
He has background and professional experience in international business, strategic business development, and the aviation industry. Also, with prestigious research funding from ESRC, Sam was able to embark on collaborative projects with industry partners in the legal services and charity sector. He has presented his work at international conferences and published in reputable journals, such as Industrial Marketing Management. In his spare time, Sam enjoys reading about recent developments in blockchain technology and watching Sci-Fi movies.
Sam is open to supervising PhD students and welcomes research proposals from qualified candidates.
